First time my neighborhood was bombed on August 8th. At that time my school director and Georgina Language teacher were wounded. Their names are Veriko Bakuradze and Kakha Kakhiashvili.
Our houses windows were all shattered. For the safety reasons my parents brought us to Karbi Village. But on August 9th our soldiers blew up one Russian warplane which fell in about 200 meters from us and killed one person. One hour later more Russian warplanes bombed the village. At that time 6 people were killed. We moved to Ateni Village on August 11th. Next morning warplanes were flying above us in Ateni and at the same time our army and military equipment started to pull in.
That night our family left for Tbilisi. Since then we do not have any information about our village and our house.

My father Hamlet Maisuradze and my cousin Otar Maisuradze were killed by bombing. They were buried in the garden in front of my house with the help of my neighbors.
I also lost my car due to this military aggression. Both of my houses were looted and all the household items were taken away from there. I also witnessed its bombing. I also lost 3 cows and 10 000 tomato sprouts.

Village Meghvrekisi was almost totally shelled on 8 August at 6 o'clock in the morning on the second day of the conflict. The so called forbidden "cluster bombs" and 3 meter long missiles were dropped by several jets.
4 people were injured in several seconds. Livestock were injured and killed. More than 20 houses were damaged and destroyed.
Many of these bombs are left unexploded in the gardens and yards.
I appeared to be in the centre of shelling in Gori twice the second day. The car by which I transferred people and dead livestock has shell splinter that weighs 600 grams (I keep it). I appeared to be in shelling in the following days and I couldn't manage to take out my relatives from villages Karbi, Tkviavi, Meghvrekisi. Most of them were slaughtered-they cut off head of my uncle (Gela Chikhladze) in village Tkviavi. We know nothing about lots of others. Most of the houses in village Meghvrekisi were burnt to ground and raided. They killed everyone who was there. They killed old people as well. There was nobody left to burry them.

I live in the village of Megvrikisi, Gori region. I left on Sunday, my husband – on Monday. When our Army started to leave and we were about being bombed, we had no other choice. Surely it was better to join my children, then to die. So we left without taking anything from the house. My children had left before. I have three children and when we were coming, it seemed I would not be able to see them again. I was looking up, fearing that something would fall on me. Only things that I managed to take were the clothes of the kids, nothing else.
We left on the car of my neighbour. He rushed in our house and told we needed to leave. He said, "Don't you see what is happening with us?". When we saw the smoke above Eredvi, we decided that if we did not leave, we would die. That is why we escaped. Our village is situated right at the location of peacekeepers near Ergneti. So to say, we are caught in teeth of Ossetians.
We travelled safely. Obviously they had not started to move in this direction. My husband also managed to escape yesterday.
When I left, my house was not damaged, though I don't know about its condition now. At that moment, the village was also not burnt down so far.
